Job Description:
The Assistant Professor in the Department of Micro Biology will play a critical role in fulfilling the colleges mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate level botany courses conducting research in the field of botany and contributing to the departments and the colleges commitment to innovation and excellence in education.
Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate level botany courses
- Conduct research in the field of botany
- Mentor students and encourage their participation in research and academic pursuits
- Engage in scholarly and professional activities to remain current in the field
- Collaborate with other faculty members and departments to promote interdisciplinary programs and initiatives
- Contribute to departmental and collegewide committees and initiatives
- Publish research findings in academic journals and present at conferences
Qualifications:
- Minimum M.Sc. degree in Micro Biology or a related field
- Strong research and teaching experience in the field of Micro Biology
- Demonstrated ability to publish research in academic journals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
