Educational Qualification and Experience
Bachelor in any branch of Engineering and Post graduate degree/Diploma in Management
AND
Minimum 8 years of work experience in operations of large training/education/industry establishments. Experience and exposure to student counselling admission management industry relations internships and placements
KeyAreas of Responsibility and Accountability
Responsible for providing counselling support to trainees during admissions and throughout the entire training lifecycle including preplacement support and selection of career path.
Student WellBeing
Provide expert shortterm counselling/psychological therapy to students both individually and in groups.
Provide professional clinical assessments and make appropriate decisions regarding the potential course of action for students.
To provide training guidance and support to the faculty and other staff members on student mental and emotional wellbeing.
Compile and maintain secure and confidential records of all counselling sessions and ensure that confidentiality is maintained.
Work with external agencies to provide further support where required.
Staff WellBeing
To deliver training in the areas of mental health and wellbeing for SSRGSP staff
Support staff who are experiencing social emotional and psychological issues
Student career progression
Conduct Group/OneonOne to understand the education level work experience personality interests and skills to suggest courses that match students background and abilities.
Conduct workshops with industries and parents to assist students on career development and guidance plans.
Work with the Admissions and Counselling team to plan and organize on and off campus admissions events including open houses information sessions admitted student meets & campus tours.
Support Industry Engagement & Placement team in organizing and executing pre and post placement support sessions.
Collaboration with Other Departments:
Collaborate with the HR team to contribute to the development of university strategies policies and practices which ensure a healthier learning and working environment for students and staff.
To work in liaison with other colleagues involved in the pastoral care and mental health provision at the University.
Compliance and Policy Adherence:
Stay informed about relevant educational regulations accreditation standards and institutional policies.
To understand the University s obligations and responsibilities towards ensuring physical and mental wellbeing of students
Key Competencies Required:
Effective communication empathy & interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and engage diverse people.
Detailoriented with excellent organizational and timemanagement abilities
Good knowledge of MS office (PowerPoint Excel etc.)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
