The Role:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance team.
- This is a critical role responsible for all aspects of the accounting cycle including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger maintenance and financial reporting.
- You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information and supporting the companys strategic growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable including processing invoices verifying accuracy and making timely payments.
- Oversee accounts receivable including issuing invoices collecting payments and managing customer accounts.
- Process payments from clients & perform collections from overdue clients.
- Create and share critical financial reports to a variety of stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage deferred revenue.
- Interface with outside vendors / payees
- Maintain the general ledger & assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting while documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Manage and comply with local state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Analyze financial data identify trends and provide insights to management.
- Support with budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
- Assist with yearend closing procedures and audits.
- Stay up to date on accounting best practices and regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments including sales product development design and management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Ability to produce quality materials within tight time frames and manage several tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Microsoft NAV Dynamics.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
