Lead Tax Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering highquality tax services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the tax accounting function ensuring accuracy and compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare and review federal state and local tax returns for individuals corporations partnerships and other entities.
• Conduct thorough tax research to ensure compliance and identify taxsaving opportunities.
• Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the companys tax position.
• Lead and mentor a team of tax accountants providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Assist in tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to the team and clients.
• Prepare detailed tax reports and documentation for management and clients.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients providing expert tax advice and addressing any taxrelated concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• CPA certification is required.
• Minimum of 57 years of experience in tax accounting with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Indepth knowledge of federal state and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax preparation and research software (e.g. TurboTax TaxAct CCH Axcess) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
