Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist plays a vital role in supporting the HR department and the organization by managing daytoday HR functions and providing comprehensive HR support to employees and management. This position requires a strong understanding of HR policies procedures and best practices to ensure compliance and promote a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
Manage the recruitment process including job postings resume screening scheduling
interviews and conducting interviews.
Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires including orientation sessions paperwork
completion and introduction to company policies and procedures.
2. Employee Relations:
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns providing guidance and
support as needed.
Handle employee relations matters including conflict resolution disciplinary actions and
performance improvement plans.
Conduct investigations into employee complaints or misconduct allegations and recommend
appropriate actions.
3. Benefits Administration:
Assist employees with benefits enrolment changes and inquiries and resolve any issues
related to benefits administration.
4. HR Compliance:
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality and security of HR data.
Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations and update HR policies and
procedures accordingly.
5. Training and Development:
Coordinate training and development programs for employees to enhance their skills and
capabilities.
6. HR Administration:
Manage HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and maintain accurate employee data.
Prepare and maintain HR reports and analytics to support decisionmaking and strategic
planning.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in human resources Business Administration or related field.
Previous experience in HR roles preferably as an HR Generalist or similar position.
Strong knowledge of HR policies procedures and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications.
HR certification (e.g. SHRMCP PHR) is a plus.
