Assistant Manager

• High level of drive, initiative and self-motivation on Logistics Exercise for all miles
  
• 5+ years of experience in Transportations/Logistics
  
• Working knowledge on logistics commercials, operations and fleet management
  
• Handling forward and RTO shipment from Source to origin with respective order tracking consignment basis
  
• Good verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of process ownership for control tower set up
  

Requirements

• Plans the daily distribution of resources among receiving, storage and delivery operations across all warehouses in order to maximize warehouse staff productivity and storage efficiency
  
• Oversees the accurate counting and documentation of all receiving, handling and dispatch of goods respecting FIFO/FEFO procedures in order to maintain stock accuracy and no discrepancy between physical stock and WMS.
  
• Oversees and manages cycle counts in order to ensure accuracy as per SOPs
  
• Oversees that products are stored in the designated locations according to Company procedures and that the Warehouse damages are reduced
  

• Ensures proper training to reporting staff on implementation of safety and security procedures to eliminate accidents and pilferage and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
  
• Carries out periodic checks on warehouse building, racking, and equipment to assess maintenance and repair requirements
  

• Directs transportation operations including on time dispatching, routing delivery tracking and returns.
  
• Monitors fleet time and capacity utilization and ensures delivery routes are fully planned through Road net to comply with requested delivery dates.
  
• Develops transportation policies and procedures.
  
• Communicates with sales team to improve delivery schedules and improve minimum order quantity.
  
• Communicates with customers to speed up unloading time and improve unloading processes.
  

• Ensures internal & external customer satisfaction and attends to customer complaints in order to support sales in achieving the company target
  

• Establishes & controls a set of KPI s including trailer hiring, daily labors, picking productivity, Warehouse, delivery routes and fleet utilization in order to manage warehousing costs
  
• Recommends plans/ projects in order to optimize storage and delivery cost
  
• Recommends capital expenditures for acquisition or lease of new equipment and negotiates and improves hired trucks contracts and costing.
