Requirement:
- A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments, vendors, and customers Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components
- Possess a thorough understanding of test equipment and methods (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc....) and knowledge of advanced test equipment (logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting to identify root cause
- Ability to read advanced engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams
- Maintain necessary product records and documentation
- Ability to comprehend and use product/process component datasheets
- Ability to assemble and disassemble products
- Ability to perform intermediate mechanical work
- Ability to train or direct other technicians
- Ability to learn advanced computer applications
- Ability to research, tabulate, and summarize data
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
Job Description:
ME Technician position
- To assist and support production through process development, build coordination, problem solving, methods improvement, training, equipment research/implementation and labor standards maintenance
- Designs, schedules and performs field and/or lab tests to validate new product designs. Analyzes complex test data, draws conclusions and summarizes reports, acting as liaison between the Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) dept and product engineering. Performs analyses of customer data (i.e. warranty, Dealer Technical Assistance Center (DTAC), customer satisfaction surveys, Early Detection Problem Resolution (EDPR)). Plans and performs analytical and experimental work to obtain undefined operating loads and/or develop new test procedures. Gives work direction to test operators. Assists in developing and coordinating changes to product definition documents. Coordinates problem identification activities and tracks corrective action progress.
