Landscape Tree Climber

We are looking for an experienced Tree Climber to join our team. the general duties include trimming, pruning, cabling, bracing, lightning protection and more. Our tree climbers have a unique understanding of tree care; how to preserve and how to remove in a healthy manner. We are looking for people that are team players and know how to think outside the box.

Job Skills and Responsibilities: • Prune and remove trees per industry standards using approved arborists equipment. • Load and unload trucks daily with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into a wood chipper. Use of power equipment, chainsaws, chippers, blowers, etc. • Must have experience in tree care operations and techniques. • Must be able to read, write and comprehend job instructions and information. • Must know how to operate, maintain and service all tree care required equipment. • Must be available to work during the following when necessary: Weekends, Emergency Call Outs, Monsoon Storm Season. • Rope and Saddle experience required. • Knowledge of chainsaw use and safety required • Detail-oriented, organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision • Must have high safety standards & Strong work ethic • Must be able to perform essential arbor care tasks, primarily the pruning of hardwoods and palms. • Perform tree removals safely using arborists knowledge of knots, power tools, climb gear, and systems. • Individuals must be able to safely climb, brace, and execute arbor care functions while secured in trees and palms.

• Must be able to wear necessary PPE as per task assigned.

• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces, performing mentally/physically demanding work under unfavorable weather conditions • Uses wedges, sledges, and chain saws in felling trees or trimmed trunks and in cutting and splitting logs into manageable pieces. • Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area. Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways. Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and the public. Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue. • Performs other related work, as assigned by superiors. • Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with customers and coworkers. • Must be able to work year-round in the Arizona climate. • Reliable and dependable. • Must have reliable transportation to and from work. • Must be able to follow company safety policies. • Punctual, and dependable.

Requirements

• 5 years experience in climbing, pruning operations, quality customer service, and teamwork. • Must have 4+ years experience as a tree climber with your own spikes and saddle, a certified arborists is preferred.
• Must be able to E verify

Valid Drivers License and acceptable Motor Vehicle record.

Ability to perform extended walking, standing, kneeling and/or squatting Meets physical requirements of operating equipment and is capable of working outdoors with intense heat/cold conditions, loud noises, etc. Â.

Individuals who are bilingual with English, Spanish would be great but not required. A Valid drivers license is a huge plus!
