Job Description
- The Pastry chef oversees all the preparation of patisseries, the baking of breads and the production of pastry/desserts ensuring that dishes are produced as per recipe maintaining consistency, quality and standard.
- Pastry chef should be a person who has already proven his expertise in the culinary arts.
- A keen sense of taste and smell, as well as an aesthetic appreciation of food presentation, are all important qualities.
- Skills The pastry chef must possess creativity, the ability to lead, attention to detail and knowledge of ingredients.
- Strong hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity and artistic talents are essential.
- Good communication skills and management skill required to delegate jobs.
- He should also have good understanding of finance as well. Knowledge of computers is a must.
