Job Description

Overall Purpose of Job:

This role is key to deliver a complete and accurate financial statement for all the in scope KOSTAL entities. Understand the connections between financial processes and their impact to the financial statement. Have a good understanding of each financial statement key sections to be able to identify anomalies or inconsistencies.

  • Main tasks roles and responsibilities:
  • Involved in the transition of intercompany and project accounting processes from various KOSTAL entities to KBS
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of accounting data including additional analysis schedules and research
  • Ensure and perform local statutory accounting for the legal entities in compliance with the respective local GAAP including preparation of statutory financial reports
  • Ensure a reporting package for the group consolidation in accordance with German GAAP
  • Lead a team of Accountants and supervise team delivery of monthend closings intercompany and project accouting account analysis and reconciliations
  • Contribute to preparation and review of management reports and financial information analysis on monthly quarterly and annual basis
  • Manage ongoing operations of the team. Plan and monitor the capacity and workload of the team hire additional team members according to anticipated workload
  • Coordination and controlling of the knowledge transfer and ensuring seamless post golive stabilization of finance processes in scope
  • Contribute to define a closing schedule to speed up closing procedures in close alignment with the Global Process Head/ Finance Head
  • Lead by example a crossfunctional collaboration create a motivating working atmosphere and actively drive the change management
  • Coach and motivate team members
  • Participate and lead projects assigned to the role (incl. Process optimization)
  • Identify evaluate and resolve issues (incl. process improvements)
  • Adherent to agreed service levels policies and procedures
  • Contribute in defining and implementing internal controls; be responsible of regular
  • Interact with external auditors
  • Engage in collaboration with the business and stakeholders to develop a professional relationship
  • Provide qualitative customer service; establish KPIs to track Intercompany and project accounting processes
  • Performance in close alignment with the Global Process Head for GL and Asset Ledger

Qualifications :

Experiences and requirements:

Education:

  • University or college degree in Economics or Finance
  • Qualification of chartered accountancy or IFRS or German GAAP is an advantage

Work experiences time/seniority/ sector:

  • At least 5 8 years of experience in Accounting (Intercompany and or General Ledger Accounting)
  • At least 25 years of leaderships experience  is an advantage

Technical/ IT knowledge:

  • Complete familiarity with SAP Fi Module
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent tools

Language with level:

  • Fluent in English
