Job Description

This position has a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office per week in our Bloomington Indiana office. Candidate must reside in the state of Indiana or be willing to relocate by first day of employment.

The salary range for this role is $65000$75000.

The Indiana University Foundation is seeking outgoing driven and talented marketing leaders to build out our recently blended team. Having combined the marketing teams from the Alumni Association and Foundation we seek lead strategists and marketing gurus to help us think differently about our work.

This newly created role was designed to bring a more strategic holistic and thoughtful approach to drive business outcomes where youll build lead generation and pipeline development strategies for both organizations. You will play a crucial role in increasing brand awareness driving alumni and donor engagement and ultimately boosting event attendance and philanthropic donations.

You will help us prioritize our work and stay focused on organizational outcomes. You will align to university objectives deepen constituent engagement increase awareness and advocacy foster a culture of philanthropy and amplify the impact of our work through shaping our storytelling market segmentation and proven marketing game plans.

In addition to strategy development you will closely track and manage projects daytoday ensuring smooth implementation and measuring success through key performance indicators (KPIs). You will collaborate closely with project managers to maintain alignment track deliverables and adjust plans as needed to optimize results.

Individuals will be responsible for developing and executing large and smallscale business plans to strengthen our relationships with alumni and donors drive business growth enhance brand visibility and achieve specific marketing objectives.

We seek datadriven creative and innovative marketing wizardsindividuals who excel at extrapolating organizational needs synthesizing business partner challenges and designing robust marketing strategies and executable plans to realize results. Youll know how to corral motivate and activate project team members to fulfill those requests and youll review data intelligence to align and adjust making informed business decisions midstream. Youll also oversee ensuring projects stay on track through proactive collaboration with project managers and other key stakeholders. Finally youll lock arms with our Creative Communication Web Data and Copy team members to drive attendance and registration volunteerism and fundraising goals.


Qualifications :

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in business Marketing Advertising or a related field is required.
    • MBA preferred but not required.
  • 58 years of account management/client service experience in an ad agency inhouse environment University or corporate setting.
  • 5 years of progressive and proven experience in marketing fundraising donor relations alumni relations or a related field within the nonprofit sector.
    • Additional forprofit marketing experience is a plus.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven record of developing successful marketing strategies and media/marketing/communication plans.
  • Solid lead generation and pipeline development experience is required.
  • Successful campaign planning that yielded results.
  • Experience tracking and managing marketing projects ensuring smooth and measuring success through KPIs.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management software databases and marketing technology and tools (Salesforce or related martech).
  • Experience building message maps and email journeys.
  • Expertise in stakeholder engagement and relationship building.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for engagement and fundraising improvement.
  • Analytical and curious mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Independent and creative thinker with a resultsoriented mindset.
  • A background in alumni and/or donor engagement programming is a plus!
