This Manager role plays a critical part in managing the c USD 1 billion annual expenses budget for the Europe region to support Visas objectives and growth strategy. They will provide monthly reporting and business partnering support to corporate functions including marketing. They will also be responsible for preparing the P&L for the Innovation & Market Development (IMD) fee. This will involve working closely with senior stakeholders and finance teams in Europe subregions.
Responsibilities include:
- Reporting
- With the Director review monthly results for the Marketing Function and prepare and present commentary for the Europe Marketing Leadership team
- Prepare analysis of the Marketing GL incl. quarteronquarter vs prior year and vs prior yeartodate for global reporting
- Produce the IMD P&L including revenues incentives and open
- Business Partnering
- Provide support and challenge to the Leadership Teams of the corporate functions that they support such that there is effective and efficient use of the budget aligned to strategy and accountability for spend.
- Partner to produce an annual budget proposal and lead the quarterly reforecast process through the year.
- Liaise closely with FBPs Controllership and other colleagues and become an expert in IMD running and enhancing the revenue model P&L dashboards and governance.
- Tools & Processes
- Become an expert in Hyperion and systems that manage initiative tracking and other cost and revenue information (GEAR and GARP).
- Provide team managers in the areas you support with simple and effective tools to enable them to manage to budget.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of management tools and information particularly PowerBI dashboards.
This role will report to the Senior Director Europe FP&A and will be based in London (Paddington). They will work closely with the Director for Marketing and other colleagues in a team of ten.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications :
- Some Business Partnering experience. Ability to build and cultivate effective relationships with senior business stakeholders and the Finance function at a regional and global level
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with good attention to detail and also the ability to see the big picture interpret trends and tell the story
- Expert user in Excel skills and the ability and confidence to manage large data sets. Data analytics experience and application of data visualisation tools (especially PowerBI) and Finance systems (Hyperion) knowledge are highly desirable
- Selfstarter with the ability to work independently and with limited guidance within a complex and commercially oriented environment able to deliver to deadlines
- Team oriented collaborative diplomatic and flexible with an appetite to engage with wider FBP community
- Experience in the payments and good knowledge of banking industry is preferred
