Job Description
The Defense Programs Specialist is responsible for designing developing and delivering generic and specialized training programs specifically tailored to military and civilian personnel. This role requires extensive knowledge of military programs operations and procedures as well as expertise in curriculum design and delivery. The Defense Programs Specialist will work closely with leadership and individuals to assess training needs develop appropriate curriculum and deliver engaging and effective training sessions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver generic and specialized training programs specifically tailored to military and civilian personnel.
Set up learning strategy and short and longterm training plans specialized in general defense knowledge training
Work closely with leadership and teams to assess training needs and identify performance gaps.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders defense personnel and subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate relevant and up to date.
Stay informed about emerging trends and developments in defense programs and training methodologies.
Conduct thorough analysis of defense programs and operations to determine training requirements.
Design and develop training materials and programs based on identified needs and develop a suite of short online training curriculum contents.
Develop comprehensive training curricula incorporating relevant policies procedures and regulations.
Create instructional materials including presentations handouts and training manuals
Facilitate training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques such as presentations demonstrations case studies and simulations.
Analyze training evaluation results and provide recommendations for program enhancements.
Requirements
810 years extensive experience in related field.
Bachelor degree Defense Studies Education Instructional Design) is preferred.
Extensive experience in defense programs operations or related fields.
Strong knowledge of defense policies procedures and regulations.
Proven experience in instructional design and training delivery.
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and training software/tools.
Demonstrated experience in curriculum development of training programs for military and civilian personnel
Demonstrated knowledge (evidenced by training education and experience) in the application of education theories
Ability to perform a learning needs analysis
Demonstrated competence to implement assess and evaluate adult learning
Demonstrated capacity to use and facilitate multifaceted modalities of learning including elearning
Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent presentation skills
