Job Description
What Youll Do
- Develop and execute a strategy to build and support topnotch college counseling program
- Ensure all Avenues students matriculate into greatfit wellchosen colleges and universities where they will thrive.
- Inspire confidence connection and trust among the Upper Division community among current and prospective families as well as faculty and staff
- Manage a superb college counseling team and ensure a strong inspiring confidence in our program while demonstrating our communitys valued behaviors.
- Champion Avenues mission exemplifying our valued behaviors internally and to external stakeholders as well

About You
Avenues New York Head of College Counseling must bring all or most of the following:
- Sophisticated understanding of the college process especially with selective schools
- Ability to build powerful rapport with students families and staff.
- Strong and broad relationships with highly selective college admissions network
- Strong emotional intelligence: actively listens communicates clearly and thoughtfully manages emotions shows empathy
- Deep understanding of college fit
- Profound commitment to ensuring and nurturing childrens wellbeing
- Highly effective collaborator eager to listen deeply contribute to a team and achieve goals together
- Dedication to learning and developing the craft of teaching
- Proven Track record of building effective teams and managing them to results
- Very resourceful and adaptive eager to embrace constant change growth and learning
- Extensive experience in college admissions
Additional Information :
If hired for this position the annual salary range for this position is between $130000 $200000. The salary may vary depending on your experience and skills.
