Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee the nursing leadership and operations of a behavioral health facility. This role requires a BSN an active state nursing license and prior experience in psychiatric or behavioral healthcare. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills ensuring highquality patient care and fostering a culture of compassion accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the nursing management team ensuring exceptional patient care.
- Act as a liaison between physicians patients referral sources and employees.
- Develop and maintain nursing policies procedures and quality assurance programs.
- Prepare monthly reports on departmental performance staffing and patient care initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety protocols.
- Promote professional development and training for nursing staff.
- Support the organizations mission and philosophy of care driving continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Current unencumbered nursing license in the State of Washington.
Prior Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Health experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Nursing Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.
Prior leadership experience in an inpatient behavioral health setting.
Experience in patient assessments treatment planning and communication with external review organizations.
