Job Description

Location for job: This is a remote role with a preference for PST MST or CST time zone. 

The ideal candidate will be a senior level Account Executive with the capability to ramp up as a team lead and a player/coach within our retail team based in the U.S. We are seeking an experienced and driven sales professional with a proven track record of selling to Retail and Brand customers. Experience in SaaS and/or startups is essential for this role.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute a business plan to exceed yearly revenue goals.
  • Utilize the current adopted sales methodology to coach Account Executives in sales closure strategies pipeline management opportunity management and career planning/development.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and development of the sales team.
  • Report on all aspects of the business to senior management.
  • Effectively navigate strategic customer and prospect conversations to uncover core business challenges.
  • Connect solutions to prospective customers pain points.
  • Perform product demos via Microsoft Teams or similar technology.
  • Communicate the value proposition to position against the status quo and competitors.
  • Develop proposals focused on addressing prospective client organizations challenges and needs at scale.
  • Identify key decisionmakers to define timelines and compelling events to drive deals to close.
  • Cultivate and quarterback new business opportunities through the sales pipeline within the assigned territory.

 

Supervisor Responsibility

  • Expectation would be for this person to ramp up into a manager role and lead a team of Business Development Representatives and Account Executives tasked with selling to U.S. retailers.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and the GotoMarket team regularly to address operational and business issues including price negotiation contract negotiation forecasting and overall management of the sales process.

Qualifications :

 

  • 710 years of software sales experience selling data to brands or retailers or working in the consulting industry with brands/retailers.
  • Deep understanding of retail eCommerce and analytics.
  • Team management experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience implementing and utilizing a consultative sales methodology (e.g. MEDDIC Force Management Mastering the Complex Sale Challenger).
  • Proven negotiation and sales skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving yearoveryear goals.
  • Executivelevel communication and sales skills.
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles with Clevel decisionmakers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Bachelors degree required.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package. Pay is established on an individual basis after considering multiple factors such as relevant experience education and other qualifications. In addition we take into account geographical differentials and make sure pay is equitable with our current staff. For this position our hiring range for base annual pay is estimated to be $75000 to $125000 at the time of this posting.

Performancebased discretionary bonuses and variable pay plans are available for some positions. Our benefits package is exceptional and makes up an important part of our total rewards for our employees.
