Duties:
- Lead the creation of robust feature stores to support AI/ML model development.
- Develop semantic models for enhanced analytics and reporting.
- Ensure the alignment of data engineering solutions with analytics platforms.
- Uphold best practices in data engineering and governance.
- Foster collaboration and implement cuttingedge solutions to enhance datadriven insights.
Requirements
- Completed an Honors Degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Over 5 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering with at least 2 years in a managerial or team lead role within an analytical team.
- Experience working with AWS technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL and the ability to deliver complex analytical requirements.
- Experience managing senior and executivelevel stakeholders with the ability to influence decisionmaking.
- Handson experience with data pipelining tools such as Apache Airflow or AWS Glue.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Familiarity with big data frameworks such as Hadoop and Kafka.
- Experience with version control tools like GitHub or Git.
- Ability to simplify and make complex data easy to understand.
- Build and extend trust with stakeholders.
- Strong planning and skills with a drive for excellence.
Diploma in Software Development or Similar Qualification. Experience in financial services, fintech, or cybersecurity risk management. Familiarity with machine learning models for risk prediction. Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Developer). Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). 5+ years of experience in Python development with a focus on risk-related applications. Strong expertise in AWS services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, Glue, ECS, etc.. Experience with risk analytics, financial modeling, or compliance frameworks. Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases for risk data storage and retrieval. Hands-on experience with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and data pipelines. Knowledge of API development, microservices, and event-driven architectures. Understanding of IAM policies, encryption, and security best practices in AWS. Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
