Job Description
DIRECT HIRE POSITION IN THE $6080K RANGE:
We are seeking detailoriented CAD Drafter/Detailer who would also enjoy having Inside Sales responsibilities. This candidate is a multitasker who enjoys a variety of duties and working as a bridge between our sales and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in transforming conceptual engineering designs into detailed accurate and comprehensive technical drawings. As a CAD Drafter/Detailer you will collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to produce highquality drawings that serve as a blueprint for the manufacturing and construction of our highly customized products. The ideal candidate will also enjoy expediting orders with the manufacturing and shipping departments and updating customers with key information.
CAD Drafter/Detailer Responsibilities:
- Create detailed and precise technical drawings based on engineering designs speci cations and calculations.
- Use computeraided design (CAD) software to produce 2D and 3D drawings.
- Work closely with engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and speci cations.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to re ne and enhance drawings.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation including drawings bills of materials and speci cations.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and precision in all drawings.
- Effectively communicate technical information to team members and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to address designrelated challenges.
- Stay updated on industry trends new technologies and advancements in CAD software.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Inside Sales Responsibilities:
- Receive and process orders from customers via phone/fax / email.
- Follow up on back orders by reviewing backorder logs weekly.
- Work closely with inside sales to help process quote inquiries.
- Work with production to be up to date on any delays on materials products and if there are any press scheduling con icts.
- Work with shipping if there are any lastminute changes to orders either example if quantity or shipping information changes to advise them as quickly as possible so there is very little disruption to our shipping department.
- Receive purchase orders from customers.
- Fill out forecast and open order reports for customers as requested.
- Work closely with production and sales teams on orders and scheduling within the production oor.
- Process material schedules for the shop oor daily.
- Work with shipping daily to make sure orders are shipped in a timely manner.
- Follow up with customers on order status and if shipments are late and or new ship date information.
- Enter orders for my designated sales reps in a timely and accurate manner.
- Answer questions about purchase orders and invoice inquiries
- Enter orders for replacement parts as needed for installations in the eld.
- Take phone calls regarding product questions and order inquiries.
- Assist with the engineering and purchasing department in updating and completing workbooks and opening job list.

Requirements
Quali cations:
- Proven experience as a CAD Drafter/Detailer in an engineering environment.
- Pro ciency in computeraided design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
- Knowledge of engineering principles materials and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and experience:
- Associate degree or equivalent in Engineering Drafting or a related eld is very helpful.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CAD Drafter/Detailer in an engineering setting.
- Pro cient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
