Job Description
- What you'll be working on
- Creating 3D CAD models and technical drawings of individual parts for assembling plastic kiosks
- Designing interlocking parts that can be easily assembled into a durable final structure
- Producing detailed drawings and specifications for plastic injection molding and plastic forming of designed parts
- Responsibilities
- Conceptualizing and designing multiple plastic parts for kiosks using CAD software
- Ensuring designs are manufacturable and parts can be reliably molded, assembled and disassembled
- Generating technical drawings and documentation for production, including dimensions, tolerances etc
- Iterating designs based on manufacturability and structural feedback
- Requirements
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor etc
- Understanding of plastic molding processes and designing for manufacturability
- Attention to detail and ability to create precise technical drawings
- Strong visualization and design thinking skills
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Design or related field
