Strategic Leadership:
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to align HR initiatives with business goals.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance employee engagement retention and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with federal and Maryland state labor laws while maintaining HR best practices.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development:
- Oversee fullcycle recruitment ensuring a diverse and highperforming workforce.
- Implement innovative sourcing strategies including partnerships with vocational programs and employee referral programs.
- Design and manage onboarding training and development programs to enhance employee success.
Employee Relations & Performance Management:
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor providing guidance on employee relations and conflict resolution.
- Develop and oversee performance management programs including goal setting performance reviews and career development plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by implementing employee engagement initiatives.
Compensation Benefits & Compliance:
- Manage and administer payroll benefits retirement plans and wellness programs.
- Monitor industry trends to ensure competitive compensation and benefits.
- Maintain compliance with EEO FMLA ADA OSHA and other relevant employment laws.
HR Operations & Policy Development:
- Modernize HR processes by implementing HRIS systems and digital platforms for efficiency.
- Maintain and update HR policies procedures and the employee handbook.
- Oversee HR budget management and ensure resource allocation aligns with organizational needs.
Requirements
710 years of HR experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role (preferably in a nonprofit or social services organization).
Strong knowledge of federal and Maryland state labor laws and HR best practices.
Experience in talent acquisition employee relations benefits administration and HR operations.
Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g. Workday ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
HR certifications such as SHRMCP SHRMSCP PHR or SPHR (preferred).
7-10 years of HR experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role (preferably in a nonprofit or social services organization).
