As we continue to grow we are seeking a talented Sales Engineer to join our team and help drive our success to new heights.
As a Sales Engineer at Qdrant you will play a pivotal role in our sales process combining your technical expertise with a keen understanding of customer needs to provide tailored solutions that demonstrate the value and capabilities of Qdrants vector database technology. You will work closely with potential clients understanding their technical challenges and demonstrating how our solutions can meet their requirements. Your role will be crucial in bridging the gap between the technical and sales aspects of our business ensuring a smooth transition from initial engagement to successful implementation.
Tasks
- Engage with potential clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements identifying how Qdrants solutions can address their challenges.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations demos and proofs of concept that clearly articulate the value and benefits of Qdrants vector database technology.
- Collaborate with the sales team to qualify leads and contribute to the development of effective sales strategies.
- Provide technical expertise and support during the sales process answering technical questions and addressing concerns related to DevOps distributed systems and database architecture.
- Stay uptodate with industry trends and developments in vector database technology ensuring that our solutions remain competitive and relevant.
- Work closely with the product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and insights contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of Qdrants products.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of database systems and search engines.
- Understanding of vector search concepts.
- Strong programming skills in languages in Python.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience contributing to opensource projects.
- Background in AIpowered applications like recommendation systems NLP or computer vision.
- Understanding of distributed computing and microservices architecture.
