Job Description

As Revenue Manager you will collaborate closely with Sales Marketing and Reservations teams to optimize our revenue performance and achieve our business goals.

You will formulate and executive revenue strategies manage inventory and collaborate with the executive team on forecasting and pricing.  You will be a contributor to our revenue management community of practice internally and externally mentor junior team members and receive learning and development support as you grow your career as a Heartist.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement revenue strategies for the hotel. 
  • Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to adjust strategies.
  • Lead and weekly/biweekly Revenue Management meetings providing insights based on report data. Quarterly Owners meeting reporting and attendance. 
  • Develop topline revenue forecasts and actively seek opportunities to drive incremental profit across all revenue center of the business.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and optimize pricing and inventory.
  • Mentor coach and develop junior team members in revenue management practices.
  • Collaborate with sales finance and front office teams to achieve revenue goals.
  • Ensure reservations are well managed and coordinate with the reservations team.
  • Drive market share in your competitive set and ensure all systems are adequately used to optimize RevPAR.
  • Leverage your knowledge of the distribution landscape including online travel agencies and distribution networks to optimize hotel profits.
  • Responsible for data quality and systems hygiene of Revenue Management and Distribution applications; platforms and tools used by the hotel.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration or related field
  • 13 years of experience in Revenue Management preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Proficiency in Revenue Management Systems (RMS) and Property Management Systems (PMS)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Indepth knowledge of B2C and B2B market segments
  • Expertise in data analysis and forecasting tools
  • Thorough understanding of market trends and the competitive landscape in the Australian hospitality industry
  • Proven problemsolving skills and ability to think critically
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams
