Overview:
Lawson Enterprises is seeking a Project Engineer III to join our clients industrial engineering team. This role is responsible for the technical design and engineering schedule of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Selective NonCatalytic Reduction (SNCR) systems across various industrial applications. The Project Engineer III will lead multiple engineering disciplines ensuring timely project execution while meeting customer requirements and budget constraints.
This role involves collaboration with fabricators suppliers and thirdparty engineers while managing multiple projects concurrently. The ideal candidate will also provide limited support to sales aftermarket services and field service teams.
Responsibilities:
- Engineer SCR systems for various industries including combined cycle (HRSGs) simple cycle gas turbines packaged boilers fired heaters and industrial boilers.
- Develop technical designs for SCR and SNCR systems including skids injection piping ductwork internal frames and catalysts.
- Design ammonia storage and handling systems including vaporizer skids pump skids storage tanks and unloading skids.
- Oversee all aspects of process mechanical structural electrical instrumentation and control engineering.
- Generate required engineering documents for equipment design and customer approvals.
- Collaborate with design teams to produce engineering deliverables for both customer approval and fabrication.
- Work directly with customers to secure approval for designs and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform onsite inspections at fabrication facilities to ensure quality and adherence to engineering specifications.
- Maintain engineering commitments to project schedules and budgets.
- Actively communicate with customers suppliers fabricators and sales teams.
- Support new product development and participate in product strategy discussions.
- Work closely with project management to maintain schedules and identify opportunities for change orders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 8 years of related engineering experience.
- Experience in customer engineering for industrial applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SCR system engineering experience.
- Experience with large ductwork and structural systems.
- Project management experience.
- Experience in subcontract management.
