Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Legal Compliances pertaining to the Environment at site.

  2. Liaison with Legal aspects from Govt. Authorities like CECB/SPCB at RO at Raigarh and Bilaspur offce and HO

  3. Ensure to maintain Environmental norms applicable to DBPL in coordination with O&M team.

  4. Coordinate with ash utilization team for getting permission from CECB and with other teams like O&E AHP etc for data management

  5. Monitoring environmental deviations as per Consent to Operate (CTO) & environment clearance (EC) under Air Act Water Act fly ash notification etc.

  6. Low lying areas site visit to avoid any kind of noncompliance before applying for NOC or permission for ash utilisation

  7. Corrective actions and compliance to Centre/ state regulatory authority

  8. Environmental parameter measurement and filing the reports as per norm on periodic basis.

  9. Responsible for Environmental monitoring and measurement through approved third party as per norm

  10. Technical Liaison with state and other Authority.

  11. Setting up and review of objectives and targets for continual improvement

  12. Periodical Compliance Report and filing returns to Govt. regulatory bodies

  13. Establishing the Environment Management System at the locations.

  14. Sustainability Initiatives Certifications / documentation

  15. Ensure Updating of IMS document is regularly basis

  16. Authorized for reporting top management for noncompliances observation thru audit spot sampling analysis with evidences if any for further action.

  17. Ensuring sufficient plantation at the premises and outside and topping up the same through horticulture department

  18. Plantation details survey by third party and its submission to state pollution board every year or as and when demanded.

  19. Stop activity/services till corrective actions are not taken for noncompliance and report for further action.

  20. Creating an inclusive and supportive work environment for the department.

  21. Sanctioning of leaves of subordinates.

  22. Approval of PR and issuing material from store.

  23. Delegation of power to subordinates. Authorized for reporting top management for noncompliances observation thru audit spot sampling analysis with evidences if any for further action.

  24. Ensuring all on line data uploading correctly and report in case of any deviation from the limit and also off line monitoring for cross checking.

  25. Ensure the calibration of Monitoring Equipments in time.

  26. Ensuring & mobilize third party Environment Monitoring and surveys like hydro geological survey audits as per schedule inside and outside the plant premises.

  27. Attending training program to enhance knowledge

  28. Prepare monthly ORT and other as per requirement slides and organizing awareness program and participates at sites.

  29. Preparing and submitting monthly quarterly and yearly environmental report/return in addition to any query reply from statutory bodies.

  30. Ensure the billing process of third party monitoring.

  31. Inspection of low lying areas with fly ash utilization team before submission for NOC to the authority and the compliance during and after reclamation.

  32. To prepare compliance report and communicate as per schedule.

  33. To supervise third party environment monitoring and analysis and compliance reporting

  34. Responsible for SAP related jobs like PR Notification SES etc

  35. Supervise during the sampling and monitoring as per guidelines from SPCB/CPCB as per CTO/EC conditions

  36. Portals of CPCB/SPCB/MOEF&CC to be updated periodically as and when required like stoppage of online monitoring stations plant shut down.

  37. Coordinating with state authorities during their inspection visit on environmental issues and their periodical visits
