Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Tax Associate is primarily responsible in assisting the immediate supervisor in preparing all the necessary documents being required in BIR LGU and other govt. agencies audit. He/She is also in charge in preparing schedules for VAT and withholding taxes returns including filing and payment of such.

KEY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. TAX COMPLIANCE

a. Ensures timely and accurate filing and payment of VAT EWT returns (including preparation of Schedules)

b. Reconcile GL accounts related to VAT EWT and CWT

c. Recordkeeping and archiving of the companys BIR Forms and other BIR Documentary Requirements (e.g. Alphalist SLSP Form 2307 etc.)

d. Processing of Quarterly Business permits

2. TAX AUDIT (BIR AND LGU)

a. Compile and submit documentary requirements of Tax authorities

b. Assist the immediate superior in preparing audit schedules

3. TAX RESEARCH AND PLANNING

a. Liase to BIR LGU and other government agencies

b. Perform other task that may be assigned by the immediate superior or the management from time to time

EDUCATION TRAININGS LICENSES REQUIRED:

Must have a BS Accountancy degree

With a minimum 1year accounting work experience

Training on taxation updates and competencies are an advantage.

A CPA License is an advantage
