Job Description
Looking for a Head maintenance who has worked with a manufacturing firm:
Roles & responsibilities:
Prepare and provide preventive maintenance schedules of all equipment to production
teams depending on criticality and category of machine while following defined
checklists for preventive maintenance.
Oversee execution of preventive maintenance as per designed schedule; highlight
possible issues and initiate corrective action or note issues for future action.
Carry out breakdown maintenance for equipment; conduct root cause analysis of
repeating breakdowns and provide alternatives for course correction.
Conduct shut down maintenance activities by coordinating with production for
preparation of shut down plans and ensure execution.
Execute all system modifications equipment overhauling as well as process flow
changes in order to improve process & reduce downtime.
Execute reengineering activities for equipment for example inhouse development of
spares and parts which are typically imported.
Perform inventory management for all spares after analysing and categorizing spares as
critical and noncritical and undertake spares management accordingly.
Supervise nonexecutives as well as contract workers to carry out all maintenance jobs.
Communicate primarily with key internal stakeholders such as production & operation
teams as well as commercial department
Carry out root cause analysis on various upcoming issues in plant such as motor
burning parts breakdown etc. and explain issues to concerned stakeholders.
Present point of view to production teams explaining the need to perform various
maintenance jobs to improve plant uptime
