IT Asset Management Specialist
Our client in the insurance industry is seeking a skilled professional to manage infrastructure enduser data center and cloud/virtualbased hardware assets globally. This role involves overseeing the endtoend lifecycle inventory management deployment usage tracking harvesting and compliance of hardware assets. The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all hardware assets are accurately onboarded discovered and managed within the Asset Management Database (AMDB) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Incorporated Business Rate: $50 to $55 per hour.
6month contract with the possibility of an additional 6month extension.

Responsibilities:
Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware assets including servers desktops laptops network equipment virtual cloud and containerbased assets.
Govern and track global hardware asset inventories from acquisition to decommissioning.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for hardware purchases warranties and maintenance.
Work with IT Configuration Management to maintain accurate asset records within the CMDB.
Coordinate with departments such as software asset management configuration management and network and information security for seamless asset management.
Govern and audit the IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) process to ensure responsible disposal destruction recycling and harvesting of hardware.
Perform inventory checks validations and attestations to ensure compliance with IT asset management and risk standards.
Produce realtime reports key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) via IT asset management tools.
Manage and resolve intake requests incidents and inquiries related to hardware lifecycle management.
Conduct forensic investigations to identify policy breaches mitigate risks and remediate asset management issues.
Utilize industrystandard IT asset management tools including ServiceNow SAM/HAM ServiceNow CMDB and USU Aspera.
What you will need to succeed:
IT Asset Manager certification (Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional) is an asset.
3 years of experience in IT asset management software licensing procurement or software auditing.
Strong knowledge of hardware and software asset lifecycle management including planning acquisition deployment monitoring decommissioning and disposal.
Experience with ITIL framework and IT asset management best practices.
Proficiency in asset management tools and automated discovery configuration tools (e.g. ServiceNow SCCM).
Knowledge of the ServiceNow platform particularly SAM Pro and HAM Pro.
Strong understanding of APIs and integrations that support asset discovery.
Experience managing AMDB and CMDB repositories with a focus on data quality integrity and security.
Ability to analyze CMDB data to identify anomalies errors and opportunities for improvement.
Experience working with configuration item (CI) owners to define remediation plans.
Knowledge of software licensing models including subcapacity PVU percore ILMT and virtual licensing.
Decisionmaking skills related to HAM and CMDB tool automation and integration.
Experience with industrystandard SAM tools such as ServiceNow (CMDB SAM Pro/HAM Pro ILMT) Flexera Aspera SNOW BMC HP or Manage Engine.
