Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Afghanistan region Onsite Job
Kabul Based (Only candidates willing to relocate to Afghanistan for a permanent onsite CFO position will be considered for recruitment).
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Afghanistan Working Hours
Working Days: Monday to Friday (Saturday & Sunday Off)
Reports To: Group Financial Controller
Location: Afghanistan (Only Kabul Based candidate will be considered)
Salary Range: PKR 1 Million
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and oversee the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial planning reporting and management with a strong focus on aligning financial strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support the organizations growth and sustainability.
- Collaborate with the Group Financial Controller to ensure financial goals align with overall business objectives.
- Identify financial risks and provide recommendations for mitigating them.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare and manage annual budgets forecasts and longterm financial plans.
- Oversee financial modeling and analysis to support decisionmaking processes.
- Track financial performance analyze variances and implement corrective actions.
Accounting & Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
- Oversee monthly quarterly and annual reporting processes.
- Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors for smooth execution.
ERP Management
- Lead the implementation and optimization of ERP systems and financial software.
- Ensure seamless integration of financial systems to improve efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor and optimize cash flow across the organization.
- Maintain effective treasury operations including banking relationships and liquidity management.
- Oversee working capital and investment strategies.
Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local and international tax laws and regulations.
- Establish robust internal controls and ensure adherence to compliance frameworks.
Team Leadership
- Build and mentor a highperforming finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability transparency and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: C.A./ACCA Qualified/Finalist or a Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role.
- Handson experience with ERP systems and financial software.
- Proven work experience in audit firms is highly desirable
- Familiarity with IFRS local tax regulations and financial compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
