The Burman Hotel located in the heart of Tallinns UNESCOlisted Old Town is the oldest continuously operating hotel in Estonia dating back to 1850. With only 17 rooms it offers an intimate luxurious experience.
Purpose of the role
As Front Office Manager youll oversee daily operations at the front desk ensuring excellent guest service managing checkins and checkouts handling reservations and inquiries and leading front office staff. Youll collaborate with other hotel departments and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining high standards of service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional responsive service to guests.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and standards.
- Work with Housekeeping Concierge and other departments.
- Recruit train and supervise front office staff.
- Manage checkins checkouts and guest requests.
- Handle overbookings and complaints professionally.
- Oversee billing and financial transactions with the finance team.
Requirements:
- 3 years of Front Office experience in a luxury hotel.
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and guest service passion.
- Fluent in English and Estonian; third language is a plus.
- Experience with property management systems (preferably MEWS).
- Able to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
- Proactive selfmotivated and able to work independently.
