Senior QA Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer (25 years) join the team as we transition a B2B SaaS product from its existing framework to a new system built on .NET Core. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our new backend system while assessing the current product for potential improvements and test automation strategies.

For the first two months you will conduct a comprehensive quality assessment and audit of the existing product identifying gaps and defining a robust test strategy for the new system. Following this you will lead the implementation of automated and manual testing strategies to ensure high product quality.

Roles and Responsibilities

Phase 1: Product and Codebase Assessment (First 2 Months)

• Conduct a detailed audit of the current product identifying functional performance and security gaps.
  

• Define a comprehensive test strategy for the new .NET Corebased backend system.
  

• Work closely with developers product managers and stakeholders to understand system requirements and potential risks.
  

• Develop an automation roadmap to ensure efficient test coverage.
  

• Present detailed quality assessment reports with actionable recommendations.
  

Phase 2: QA Strategy Implementation and Execution (Post 2 Months)

• Design develop and execute automated and manual test cases to validate new system functionalities.
  

• Implement functional regression integration and performance testing strategies.
  

• Work with developers to ensure testability of the system and improve test coverage.
  

• Set up and maintain test automation frameworks using industrystandard tools.
  

• Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues beyond scripted tests.
  

• Ensure high product reliability by conducting load testing security testing and database validation.
  

• Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipelines.
  

• Track document and prioritize bugs ensuring timely resolution.
  

• Provide mentorship to junior QA team members and enforce best practices.
  

Requirements

Mandatory Skills

• 25 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
  

• Comprehensive Previous experience working with a B2B Saas product/platform
  

• Strong experience with test automation tools such as Selenium Cypress Playwright or TestCafe.
  

• Expertise in API testing using Postman RestAssured or similar tools.
  

• Handson experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
  

• Strong understanding of SQL queries and database testing.
  

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
  

• Knowledge of security testing fundamentals and experience with tools like OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite.
  

• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  

• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  

Good to have Skills

• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and containerized applications (Docker Kubernetes).
  

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python JavaScript or Bash for test automation.
  

• Exposure to contract testing using Pact or similar frameworks.
  

• Experience with accessibility testing and compliance.
