Job Description
Position: Transactions Associate
Location: Silicon Valley San Francisco or New York
Duration: Fulltime
Salary: DOE
Description:
The client is seeking a Corporate Associate with 25 years of relevant experience to join their Transactions Practice Group in Silicon Valley San Francisco or New York. The ideal candidate will work on a variety of corporate matters including emerging companies & venture capital (ECVC) financing M&A private equity and general corporate counseling for both publicly and privately held companies private equity funds and other investors and entrepreneurs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle venture capital/earlystage financings mergers acquisitions dispositions joint ventures and other commercial transactions.
- Provide general corporate counseling to clients ensuring strategic guidance for their business and transactional needs.
- Work in a collaborative environment managing transactions and interacting directly with partners and clients.
- Draft sophisticated transactional documents and manage projects related to corporate matters.
- Develop clientfacing relationships while supporting longterm corporate practice growth.
Qualifications:
- 25 years of experience in corporate law with significant exposure to venture capital financing M&A private equity and general corporate counseling.
- Strong document drafting and project management skills.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- Positive attitude strong interpersonal skills and an exceptional work ethic.
- Comfortable with direct client interaction and building relationships with partners.
- Must hold a JD from an ABAapproved law school and be an active member of the Bar in the jurisdiction where the candidate is admitted to practice.
