Job Description

The Electrical Controls Engineer will be pivotal in the conceptual design component specification system hardware design and programming of advanced packaging machinery. This role involves close collaboration with engineers and technical staff while providing engineering support to field service technicians and offering technical training at client facilities as required. You will support existing products and work within the constraints of established methods and standards. The position may require up to 20% domestic travel with potential for international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and design electrical controls for packaging machinery
  • Collaborate with teams on R&D projects
  • Provide engineering support for field service technicians
  • Customize programming based on customer needs
  • Conduct initial commissioning and debugging of machinery
  • Create wiring schematics and program diagrams
  • Support customer service with programming of replacement components
  • Execute other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 24 years of relevant electrical design experience
  • Proficient in CAD software for electrical design documentation (SolidWorks Electrical AutoCAD)
  • Indepth knowledge of PLC hardware software platforms and HMI programming
  • Experience programming AllenBradley PLCs or CODESYS PLC systems
  • Familiarity with IEC programming languages
  • Web development skills are preferred (HTML JavaScript CSS SQL Python Visual Basic)
  • Valid drivers license with the ability to travel

4. Do with pyou have Indepth understanding of PLC hardware software platforms and HMI programming.

5. Do you have experience with Programming of AllenBradley PLCs or CODESYS PLC systems (Bosch RexRoth preferred Siemens Beckhoff etc.)

6. Do you have experienced in IEC programming languages Ladder logic Function blocks and Structured text.

7. Do you have Web development skills preferred HTML Java Script CSS SQL Python and Visual basics.

8. Do you have a Valid drivers license and ability to travel up to 20% including internationally.

9 Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
