Job Description
The purpose of the role is to codesign Syngentas strategy for product crop portfolio together with the Commercial Unit Leadership Team by maximization of short and longterm profitability. We seek a candidate with deep business understanding to serve as an enterprise leader challenging resource allocation and income generation. The ideal candidate will proactively identify issues drive solutions and contribute strategic financial insights to support Syngentas overall commercial strategy in Ukraine.
Accountabilities:
- Representing Finance function to the Commercial Unit Leadership Team
- Support development and implementation of respective strategies for CU or Finance function which are in support of the overall strategy
- Utilizing key agronomic indicators deliver 5year plans and budgets. Ensure effective resource prioritization based on sound riskbased cost / benefit analysis
- Provide business management with sound riskbased analysis on potential impacts implications and propose potential ways to improve risk management on key economic exposures
- Provide functional expertise in key strategic projects
- Support the implementation of a broad change agenda together with the respective leadership team
- P&L accountability for the Commercial Unit and maintenance of relevant CP and Seeds FC financials
- Drive actions to support stronger cashflow generation for the company including optimization of working capital
Qualifications :
- Minimum 10 years experience in business and financial management with full P&L responsibility
- Working experience in senior finance roles in areas of rapid change or high risk
- Exposure to commercial operations
- Professional finance qualification (MBA / Finance Masters and/or Accounting) with knowledge of best practices for the development of annual budgets latest estimates and financial planning
- Wide knowledge of finance (financial analysis investment analysis valuation analysis due diligence risk management budgeting / planning)
- Sound knowledge of business and industry drivers and commercial issues
- Ability to understand communicate and manage complex crossfunctional issues
- Involvement in strategic options development and implementation of change programs
- Successful project management experience
- Knowledge of Agricultural business and Syngentas products would be beneficial
