About the role
This role is an amazing opportunity to work in the Country Pavilion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in events or exhibition management strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of events maintenance and technical setup. You will be responsible for overseeing daytoday operations with a stronger emphasis on maintenance ensuring the Pavillion is maintained and operating as per operational plans and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee organize and control the maintenance and operation of the Pavillion ensuring that all fixtures and equipment are working and maintained at all times.
In the event of equipment failure be able to assess the most appropriate course of action e.g. inhouse repairs external contracting etc.
Experience in preventive and reactive maintenance of exhibitions and public spaces
Creating and maintaining a critical spares store.
Supervise technician team ensuring a motivated welltrained and efficient team.
Monitor staffing and maintenance schedules adjust workflow and allocate resources as required.
Share a 24hour oncall response with Technical Team and Project Manager
Conduct regular reviews of Pavillion space and implement corrective actions to address issues.
Ensure all safety quality and compliance standards are adhered to.
Prepare and maintain regular operation/maintenance report and any accidental reports
Develop and maintain a clean safe and organized environment.
Support the Pavillion management team in any other related tasks as may be requested.
Requirements:
Relevant Bachelors degree in Engineering Facility Management Events Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Production/Operation/Technical Manager or similar role in an event/exhibition.
Strong knowledge of event operations maintenance and technical setup.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Exceptional organizational scheduling and timemanagement abilities.
Familiarity with safety quality and regulatory standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work under pressure and with flexibility.
Excellent communication skills.
Flexibility in working hours during the live event phase will be required
Working hours shifts and rest days scheduling to be discussed.
Bilingual in English and Japanese preferred
