About the role
This role is an amazing opportunity to work in the Country Pavilion as Health and Safety Manager to develop implement and assess safety programs across a number of Pavillions in the World Expo 2025. The ideal candidate should have relevant knowledge and experience in managing public events and exhibitions will ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and proactively minimize risks to staff contractors and visitors by liaising with Pavilion Management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies procedures and training programs.
Conduct regular risk assessments audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
Advise Pavillion Management Teams on best practices monitor and ensure adherence to health and safety laws and Expo policies.
Investigate incidents near misses and workplace accidents preparing detailed reports with corrective action plans.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure all required permits licenses and reports are up to date.
Deliver safety training programs to employees contractors and management ensuring understanding and compliance.
Manage the reporting and documentation of workplace injuries illnesses and safetyrelated incidents.
Collaborate with departments to incorporate safety measures into operational processes.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of emergency response plans including drills and equipment readiness.
Promote a culture of safety and accountability across the organization.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations standards and practices.
Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective actions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels.
Strong organizational and problemsolving abilities with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Certification in health and safety is highly desirable (NEBOSH or equivalent)
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to manage and prioritize work tasks and schedule independently.
The ability to communicate in both English and Japanese is a must.
Flexibility in working hours during the live event period will be required.

Pavilion public opening hours: On shift and based on the Japanese working law (9:30am to 9pm)
