We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Wellbeing Intern in Osaka. This opportunity will provide valuable handson experience in coordinating our activations and initiatives during Expo 2025 Osaka and for our Core team based in Japan. The intern will work closely with our Wellbeing Team to support the planning organisation and of various activities designed to promote physical fitness mental wellness and overall wellbeing within our organisation and specifically our Expo 2025 Osaka Teams and Core Team.
Responsibilities
1. Coordination of Physical and Mindfulness Activities:
Support the coordination of physical and mindfulness activities in Osaka and at the Expo.
Assist in the coordination and implementation of wellbeing programmes including fitness classes sports tournaments wellness workshops and other related activities.
Support the planning and logistics of sports events such as booking venues coordinating schedules managing equipment and ensuring participant registration.
2. Creating a Positive and Enjoyable Experience:
Bring motivation excitement and energy to the programmes and activities creating a positive and enjoyable experience for participants.
Lead wellness programmes including stretching and yoga sessions to promote physical and mental wellbeing.
Think creatively and outside the box to develop innovative ideas for enhancing the wellbeing programme.
Understand and include the iRADAH Standards in all you do.
3. Promotional Materials and Awareness:
Assist in the creation of promotional materials such as posters flyers and digital content to raise awareness of wellbeing initiatives.
4. Programme Evaluation and Documentation:
Support the tracking and analysis of programme participation and feedback providing insights to improve future activities.
Help maintain accurate records and documentation related to wellbeing activities such as participant lists schedules and waivers.
5 General Administrative Support:
Provide general administrative support including answering inquiries managing emails and assisting with data entry tasks.
Candidate Requirements
Graduated or studying final year in a relevant degree program (e.g. Sports Management Recreation Exercise Science or a related field).
Passionate about sports fitness and promoting wellbeing.
Prior experience in event coordination program planning or sports management is a plus.
Being fluent in Japanese is required.
Soft Skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (English and Japanese).
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Innovative thinking to bring new ideas to the table.
Hard Skills
Proficiency in using productivity software such as Google Workplace and scheduling apps.
Location & Commitments
Fulltime
Work 5 days a week 9 hours a day including a 1hour lunch break (possibility of certain working weekends that will be given as TOIL for the following weeks as well as working outside general working hours of 9am6pm).Office/Expo based dependant on activity locations).
