Description:
The IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing onsite (2nd shift 3pm to 11pm) and remote support for endusers primarily at clients plant as well as the offices in Plano and Austin Texas. This role performs technical duties and activities within prescribed time frames in the office/manufacturing environment supporting a range of equipment including PCs printers servers limited network/RF support etc
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the acquisition installation and maintenance of hardware and software technology.
Responds to requests and incident tickets for first level support to users (onsite and remote) on any IT related matter. Escalation to levels 2 and 3 when applicable.
Management of spares and assets inventory in the Inventory management tool
Training of endusers and communication on Corporate IT initiatives best practices or any other relevant ITrelated topics.
Participation in any plant ITrelated activities on offices and manufacturing systems.
Proposes and implements solutions to improve and solve routine problems.
Supports new hires onboarding by introducing them to Client hardware software and IT policies.
Follows standard operating procedures.
Maintains and ensures confidentiality of information / materials.
Takes initiative to identify and propose remedies to problems.
Gives periodic status reports in written and verbal formats.
Always focus on safety.
Education:
Associates degree in ITrelated field preferred or High school diploma with equivalent years of experience in a similar role.
Relevant certifications a plus
Required Experience
3 years experience in an IT support role working with endusers
3 years experience working with computer hardware and software including installation and maintenance.
Advanced knowledge of Windows OS and MS Suite
Experience working with computer networks
Desired Skills (List technical skills soft skills experiences etc. that are nicetohaves)
General knowledge of mobile technology.
General knowledge of ticketing systems (ServiceNow)
Communication skills problem solving organization and teamwork are required to be successful at this position.
Effective organization and planning skills with ability to handle changing priorities
Excellent communications interpersonal and influencing skills
Technical knowledge on computer hardware computer software printers and peripheral equipment
High level knowledge of LAN/WAN equipment and topology
Must be a selfstarter able to work in team environment and motivate others
