Job Description

The Seller Products team is on a mission to expand Visas reach in payment acceptance across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) by empowering Small and Mediumsized Businesses (SMBs). SMBs play an important role in the region representing over 90% of all enterprises that are increasingly relying on new payment alternatives. Despite their size there is still much to be done to better serve this segment. This role is central to Visas strategy and offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact economic growth financial inclusion and the future of digital payments in the region. The team is seeking an inspired product leader to spearhead our initiatives in providing frictionless lowcost and easytoonboard solutions that enable SMBs to accept payments effortlessly while fostering their growth with Visa as a valued partner in their journey. To be successful this leader should be able to launch fitforpurpose payment acceptance solutions design and implement suitable economic models and establish relevant partnerships (both internal and external) for this audience. Responsibilities:

  • Execution: Create an environment that fosters a continuous focus on customer and market needs creative thinking experimentation and learning. Use metricsdriven approach to test new hypothesis and product initiatives. Encourage teams to fail fast and develop alternate solutions. Develop and communicate a comprehensive product strategy aligned with customers needs Visa business strategy and the unique and fastchanging LAC region

  • CrossFunctional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams including pricing marketing technology design risk and legal to ensure cohesive and effective product delivery while integrating the teams solutions into Visas broader product portfolio

  • Strategic Leadership: Be ready to take on leadership of a product team being responsible for giving guidance direction career development feedback and budget management

  • Innovative Solutions: Explore and identify new verticals and innovative solutions to accelerate growth in acceptance and constantly enhance the value proposition for SMBs. Collaborate with product leaders in other regions to learn about their market needs and leverage insights trends and payment experiences in developing new solutions for SMBs in LAC

  • Stakeholder Management:  Build buyin from senior executives and key stakeholders (inside and outside Visa) with persuasive storytelling that brings to life the customers need business value proposition and revenue opportunity. Respectfully challenge status quo

  • External Engagement: Participate in conversations with potential clients and partners to expand Visas reach and impact in the SMB segment

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 810 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Bachelors degree in technology business administration or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10 years of relevant experience in product leadership in high growth companies including leading products within the financial technology industry or related industries
  • Proven record of solving complex product problems and building shipping and scaling earlystage pipeline to later stage production successfully across functional teams
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UX/UI design principles related to payments ecosystems that incorporate issuers merchants tech and fintech with a particular focus on enhancing ease of use and improving customer interaction and customer journey
  • Executive presence with an ability to operate independently influence and work handson with product technology and other crossfunctional team leaders. Strong listening communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to inspire and influence others without direct management responsibility
  • A high level of professionalism and leadership skills to build business relationships trust and respect with business partners and suppliers
  • Natural collaborator and team player you must be disciplined and comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to changes in priorities quickly and to work in a matrixed reporting organization
  • Fluency in LAC market acceptance flows and payment methods (eg. credit debit real time payments wallets etc)
  • Have a real connection with the idea of impacting the financial lives of millions of sellers in the region especially SMBs
  • Fluent English Spanish speaker. Portuguese is a plus
