Job Description

The Central Resource Unit seeks applications from Registered Nurses to become a part of the CRU Operational Team.

The Central Resource Unit provides Epworth with an agile sustainable and continuous supply of skilled nurses and midwives to fill rosters through growth and development of our casual and part time nursing workforce.

Commencing as soon as possible at 0.8 1 EFT CRU Eastern Suburbs provides nursing and midwifery workforce support for both Epworth Eastern Hawthorn Camberwell Richmond Rehab and supporting our developing service to our Operating Room areas.

Please note that your place of work will be across and not limited to the Eastern and Mental Health and Rehab sites and is subjected to the needs of the organisation.

Purpose of the Position

This role facilitates efficient responsible and clinically appropriate deployment of contingent labour; ensuring staff are rostered and allocated with consideration to clinical demand clinical skills and experience required and the sites budgetary needs and activity. The CRU Site Partner is the frontline contact point and support at site for CRU nurses. The CRU Site Partner works with the site operations team and allocations officers under the guidance and direction of the CRU Manager to fill vacant shifts.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Previous Experience

Essential

  • Understanding of acute/subacute nursing midwifery and clinical workforce requirements
  • Experience in leadership positions e.g. ANUM

Desirable

  • Experience in recruitment
  • Experience in rostering and working with contingent staffing ideally in a pool or nurse bank context
  • Operating Room background

Required Knowledge & Skills

Essential

  • Good clinical knowledge and understanding of skills/competencies required to be successful in a pool or casual bank role
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic serviceoriented environment
  • Understanding of LHPPD impacts of workforce on budget and workforce optimisation
  • Ability to make sound clinical workforce decisions without compromising patient care quality and safety
  • People & Relationship focused
  • Strong collaboration and consultation skills to deliver serviceoriented outcomes in a clinical context
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Understanding of the Nursing & Midwifery Standards and their application to everyday nursing midwifery practice

Qualifications :

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse or dual registered with AHPRA.
