Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION – MERCHANT PAYMENTS & PROCESSING
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT SKILLS – MUST HAVE
Collaborate with the client and Cognizant Tech & Design teams to ideate new experiences &
features elaborate features into epics and stories document funconal and nonfunconal
requirements.
Parcipate in product discovery phase and provide insights & enhancements that would
benefit the end customer.
Take complete ownership of the product and monitor the product performance through
relevant metrices.
Develop personas in conjuncon with the Design team.
Advocate on behalf of the customer for the engineering and design team
Assist the Product Owners Product Managers and Scrum Masters in priorizing the product
and sprint backlog.
Be the funconal champion for the technical and design team while fostering collaboraon
among the team members.
Work closely with engineering and quality assurance to ensure the problems are idenfied
early and product evolves delivering superior customer experience.
Prepare and host the sprint review demonstrang what was ‘Done’ and what was not ‘Done’
receive feedback from the (key) stakeholders and collaborate on the next steps to opmize the
products’ value.
DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE
Should have strong knowledge in the overall banking domain.
Expert in money movement and payments with a comprehensive understanding of merchant
sign up OnUs & OffUs payment gateways merchant services merchant payments Point of
Sale (POS – hardware & soware) implementaon and reconciliaon processes.
SKILLS
Must be able to work in a fast paced and matrixed environment.
Should be proacve and selfstarter with ability to priorize tasks vs me.
Strong customer orientaon and excellent research and problemsolving skills with a focus
aenon to detail.
Excellent verbal and wrien interpersonal and communicaon skills.
Familiar in tools such as JIRA & Confluence to carry out day today BAU tasks.
