Job Description

  • Lead inspire and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff fostering a positive work environment. Leiding geven aan inspireren en beheren van een team van chefs en keukenpersoneel waarbij een positieve werkomgeving wordt bevorderd.
  • Train and develop staff members ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.  Trainen en ontwikkelen van medewerkers om ervoor te zorgen dat zij de benodigde vaardigheden en kennis bezitten.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for food preparation plating and presentation.  Opstellen en naleven van standaardprocedures voor voedselbereiding opmaak en presentatie.
  • Stay updated with the latest culinary trends and techniques bringing innovation and creativity to menu development. Blijven bijleren over culinaire trends en technieken en deze toepassen bij het ontwikkelen van innovatieve menus.
  • Create and design menus for hospitality  meetings and events target audience and seasonal availability of ingredients.  Ontwerpen van menus voor hospitality vergaderingen en evenementen afgestemd op de doelgroep en seizoensgebonden ingredinten.
  • Develop new recipes ensuring a balance between creativity taste and profitability.  Ontwikkelen van nieuwe recepten met een balans tussen creativiteit smaak en winstgevendheid.
  • Conduct regular menu tastings to evaluate and refine dishes considering customer feedback and market trends.  Uitvoeren van regelmatige menuproeverijen en evalueren van gerechten op basis van feedback en trends.
  • Collaborate with the management team to establish pricing portion sizes and costeffective menu strategies. Samenwerken met het management om prijzen portiegroottes en kostenefficinte menus te bepalen.
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations sanitation standards and food quality controls. Toezicht houden op voedselbereiding en naleving van gezondheids en veiligheidsvoorschriften.
  • Manage inventory levels ordering and stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain optimal ingredient freshness. Beheren van voorraden bestellingen en voorraadrotatie om verspilling te minimaliseren.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed. Bewaken van de keukenapparatuur en cordineren van reparaties en onderhoud.
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs inventory and production. Nauwkeurig bijhouden van voedselkosten voorraad en productie.
  • Coordinate with frontofhouse staff to ensure efficient service and timely delivery of meals. Samenwerken met bedienend personeel voor efficinte service en tijdige levering van maaltijden.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between the kitchen and other departments. Stimuleren van communicatie tussen de keuken en andere afdelingen.
  • Attend management meetings and actively participate in discussions on menu updates specials and customer feedback. Actief deelnemen aan managementvergaderingen en feedback delen over menuupdates en specials.
  • Provide guidance and support to kitchen staff during peak service periods or in challenging situations. Ondersteunen van keukenpersoneel tijdens piekperiodes of uitdagende situaties.
  • Ensure consistent food quality taste and presentation by monitoring and inspecting all dishes before they are served. Zorgen voor constante kwaliteit smaak en presentatie van gerechten.
  • Enforce high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen following local health regulations and company policies. Handhaven van hoge normen op het gebied van hygine en reinheid in de keuken.
  • Implement and maintain proper HAACP food handling and safety practices training staff accordingly. Implementeren en onderhouden van HAACP voedselveiligheidspraktijken en medewerkers hierin trainen.
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections and follow up on corrective actions. Regelmatige inspecties van de keuken uitvoeren en opvolgen van verbeteracties.

Qualifications :

         

           KNOWLEDGE

  • Microsoft office applications including SharePoint Forms OneDrive Outlook. Ervaring met Microsoft Officetoepassingen zoals SharePoint Forms OneDrive Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational skills. Uitstekende organisatorische vaardigheden.
  • Ability to plan ahead. Vermogen om vooruit te plannen.
  • Demonstrate analytical approach to problem solving. Analytisch vermogen bij het oplossen van problemen.
  • Ability to work on own initiative. Zelfstandigheid.
  • Excellent communicator at all levels. Uitstekende communicatie op alle niveaus.
  • Good numeracy skills. Goede rekenvaardigheid.

    SKILLS
     
  • NVQ qualification or equivalent. NVQkwalificatie of vergelijkbaar.
  • Excellent craft skills background. Uitstekende ambachtelijke vaardigheden.
  • Successful progressive background in catering. Progressieve ervaring in de cateringsector.
  • Basic and Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate. Basis en Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificaten.
  • Strong Supervisory experience. Sterke leidinggevende ervaring.
  • Ability to display a real passion for food and customer service. Passie voor eten en klanttevredenheid.
