Job Description

Are you ready to shape and spearhead our corporate affairs strategy and lead highimpact advocacy initiatives to position Syngenta as a leader in Agribusiness We are looking for a new Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability supporting our Northwest region in Europe (including the Netherlands Belgium and Luxemburg).

In this role you will:

  • Maintain evolve and enhance Syngentas external brand and reputation with key government industry stakeholders customers and NGOs
  • Lead advocacy and business sustainability strategies to protect Syngentas current and future product portfolio and reputation while driving business transformation
  • Deliver proactive reputation management through impactful stakeholder management: developing thought leadership platforms regular formal and informal engagement effective use of multiple media channels public engagements and publications
  • Lead internal communications aligned to the Benelux strategy aimed at enhancing employee engagement
  • Develop strategic partnerships and oversee effective community engagement across the Benelux business including the farmers and the value chain

Qualifications and required experience

  • Bachelors degree or relevant professional qualification
  • Solid experience in a Corporate Affairs with a high degree of understanding for the commercial regulatory advocacy and brand & reputation dimensions
  • Work experience in issues management & crisis communications; work with/in governments; media relations and brand (social media experience desirable)
  • Good understanding of the political social and cultural complexity and diversity in countries as well as a working knowledge of the agricultural business
  • Strong people management and leadership skills in a matrix organization
  • Proactive selfmotivating decisive personality with high level of crisis tolerance
  • Fluency in English and ideally French

The role could be based in multiple Syngenta locations within the Benelux region ideally either in the Netherlands or Belgium.
