Job Description

Leverage Data & Analytics to enable Syngentas Corporate Functions to drive business outcomes with global priorities.

You will join the Corporate Data & Analytics team which has recently become a part of Syngentas Chief Data Officer (CDO) organization. This team partners with HR Finance Indirect Procurement and Legal to deliver data and analytics solutions that are closely aligned with business outcomes. We are committed to collaborating with our partner functions to uncover valuable insights within our data leveraging these insights to enable informed decisionmaking that drives the business outcomes we strive for as an organization. To achieve this we utilize the full breadth of Syngentas extensive technology stack. Our team is globally distributed with members located in Pune (IN) Manchester (UK) and Basel (CH).

Your primary responsibility is to lead the endtoend realization of Data & Analytics Products within Corporate Functions with an initial focus on HR. You will drive the delivery of innovative solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights enabling datadriven decisionmaking across the organization. In this role youll collaborate closely with Product Owners stakeholders and technical teams to prioritize requirements manage resources and ensure alignment between business needs and technical possibilities. Youll leverage your expertise in data visualization advanced analytics and cloud technologies to design and implement robust solutions that adhere to best practices and Syngenta guidelines. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences manage budgets effectively and navigate data privacy regulations will be crucial.

Accountabilities

  • EndtoEnd Data & Analytics Product Realization: Lead the realization of Data & Analytics Products within Corporate Functions (HR Finance Ind. Procurement Legal) from an endtoend perspective with an initial focus on HR function.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Support and advise Product Owners in prioritizing requirements by balancing technical possibilities with business priorities. Strategize effectively with key stakeholders including Product Owners Platform Owners Domain and IT Architects and Leadership to ensure alignment clarity and focus on outcomes.
  • Delivery Leadership: Lead the delivery stream ensuring that delivery resources operate efficiently and in accordance with business expectations best practices and Syngenta guidelines with plans to expand responsibility to manage a portfolio of delivery streams.
  • Solution Design Accountability: Oversee IT solution design across all relevant solutions and technical layers from integration and data to the visualization layer. Ensure that the technical data model build test data integration and deployment processes align closely with architectural guidelines and are thoroughly documented and updated.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure solutions adhere to compliance frameworks and regulations. For this work closely with data privacy and compliance experts to ensure delivery guidelines consider latest developments.
  • Advanced Analytics: Collaborate with Advanced Analytics teams to address complex business questions that require sophisticated analytical approaches ensuring the integration of advanced insights into decisionmaking processes.
  • Budget Management & Communication: Manage adherence to agreed budgets ensuring transparent communication with stakeholders. Perform budget realignment in response to scope or technology changes to maintain financial discipline and project viability.

Experience

  • 12 years of proven experience in leading the successful realization of data and analytics products across all stages particularly within HR and Finance functions in a complex multinational environment; experience in additional corporate functions is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to manage and collaborate with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives ensuring effective communication and partnership.
  • Knowledge of AWS Cloud Stack Databricks Qlik and Python is beneficial as well as working with sources such as Workday or SAP (ECC S4 Concur Ariba etc.); experience with data lakes and data mesh architectures.
  • Skilled in IT solution design across technical layers with familiarity in data architecture principles best practices and documentation standards.
  • Experience in data management practices including data governance data quality and data security throughout the data lifecycle.                                                                                                                                               
  • Demonstrated experience in leading across multiple parallel initiatives and inspiring both direct and indirect reports to foster a collaborative and positive team environment. 
  • An Agile mindset with a focus on value creation and realization. You consistently show the ability to think bigger than yourself and your team to contribute to the overall success of the company and our farmers customers.

Minimum education and critical knowledge required for the job

  • A degree in computer science information technology business analytics engineering or a related field. Relevant certifications are beneficial.
  • Leadership ability to drive crossfunctional collaboration mentor teams and navigate complex organizational structures coupled with exceptional communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of data architecture principles best practices and documentation standards.
  • An agile valuedriven mindset
  • Strong presentation skills for conveying technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

Qualifications :

Degree in computer science information technology business analytics engineering or a related field. Relevant certifications are beneficial
