POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose
We are seeking a dedicated High School Animation Design Teacher to join our academic team.
The ideal candidate knows how to foster a positive learning environment inspire students and
promote academic excellence.


Job Duties
Integrated Lesson Planning
Develop and/or utilize comprehensive lesson plans under the Understanding by Design
framework that aligns with established American curriculum standards (i.e. National Core
Art Standards).
Use industry standard technology (i.e. Adobe suite tablets etc.) to enhance instruction and
student understanding.
Effective Class Teaching
Deliver instruction that emphasizes critical thinking reasoning and the application of design
concepts.
Employ differentiated strategies to accommodate various learning styles and levels of
design proficiency.
Student Evaluation
Utilize formative and summative assessment techniques to gauge student understanding of
design concepts on a weekly or semiweekly basis.
Monitor student progress and adapt instructional methods as necessary maintaining
accurate grades and communication with parents using ManageBac and email.

Provide regular constructive feedback focused on students creative processes and design
choices encouraging them to explore innovative solutions and refine their artistic techniques
in both graphic design and animation projects.
Communication and Collaboration
Maintain open lines of communication with students parents and faculty through regular
updates and meetings.
Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and implementation.
Professional Development
Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional skills and share
best practices in departmental meetings.
Engage in ongoing training specific to new teaching methodologies and curriculum updates.
Collaborate with math specialists to develop effective instructional strategies.
Student Support and Care
Build trusting relationships with students to foster a supportive classroom environment and
provide guidance for their academic and personal growth.
Required Skills
Proficiency in Understanding by Design curriculum framework
Familiarity with the ManageBac system
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Teams and Outlook
Proficiency in design content knowledge and industrystandard technology across various
domains (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite Autodesk Maya Blender and principles of visual
communication).
Maintain accurate records and assessments adjusting strategies based on student
feedback.
Effective prioritization in tasks activities while fostering collaboration with faculty and staff.
Foster a growth mindset in students regarding their design abilities.
Evaluation and Performance
Conduct selfreflections and participate in peer evaluations to improve teaching practices.
Engage in discussions with department heads regarding curriculum effectiveness and
student outcomes.
Student Academic Life
Contribute to the development of student learning outcomes and track academic progress.
Organize and participate in at least two academic and social events that enhance student
learning experiences (e.g. sports coaches international science competitions TedX etc.)



Requirements

Bachelor s degree in education and relevant subject area
Valid teaching certification.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changing educational environments and student needs

Benefits

  • Start Salary: 22000 RMB/month based on qualification and experience
  • Subsidized housing provided
  • Flight reimbursed 1 roundtrip ticket (Onetime only and must be approved by HR in advance)
  • Home Visit Travel Allowance : Additional 12000 RMB/year to subsidize for travel (Paid 1000 RMB monthly)
  • Relocation Allowance (Onetime only per employee/family if both employed)
  • Moving from overseas:
    A oneoff relocation allowance will be payable in Chinese local currency RMB following the guideline of 6000RMB per single teacher and 12000RMB per family
  • Moving from mainland China:
    3000RMB per single teacher and 6000RMB per family
  • Pay review : Annual salary adjustment subject to overall school profit and individual evaluation performance
  • Paid Vacations in winter summer and other paid holidays based on national statutory holiday s arrangement
  • Professional Development (PD allowance) : School PD is available to qualified teachers (Must be approved by direct supervisors and the School Committee)

A genuine interest in teaching and professional development Open-minded, patient, an adventurous spirit and professional flexibility 3 years or* above relevant teaching experiences Bachelor's degree from an accredited university Native English speaker TEFL, CELTA, or TESOL certificate Teachers license obtained from English native speaking countries is preferred Teaching experiences in English native speaking countries is preferred
