Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning:
Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons for students aged 1118 fostering individual growth and development.
Uphold the schools mission and values in the classroom promoting an inclusive and supportive environment for every student.
Conduct ongoing assessments of student work and adapt teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative resources and contribute to the overall curriculum development.
HomeSchool Communication:
Build strong relationships with parents keeping them informed about the drama curriculum and individual student progress.
Organize and participate in parents meetings and workshops to engage families in their children s educational journey.
Professional Integrity:
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment through mutual support and shared responsibilities.
Participate actively in extracurricular activities and contribute to school events showcasing student achievements in drama.
Uphold the highest standards of child protection and wellbeing creating a safe and nurturing environment for all pupils.
Professional Development:
Stay current with the latest teaching methodologies in drama especially for IGCSE and Alevel courses.
Engage in continuous professional growth through workshops training and collaboration with peers.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Drama Theatre Arts Education or a related field.
Fully qualified teacher status (e.g. PGCE QTS).
Excellent command of English both spoken and written.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in drama at a highperforming school.
Proven experience in teaching IGCSE and ALevel drama is essential.
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for drama education.
Ability to assess student needs and interests to tailor lessons effectively.
Open proactive patient and caring approach to teaching.
Experience in international and bilingual educational settings is highly preferred.
