Teaching and Learning
Be an excellent practitioner who plans prepares and delivers wellstructured lessons appropriate to
the abilities of all students and maximising their learning progress
Promote high standards in the use of English as the common language and help ensure strong
academic progress
Assess record and monitor the progress of all students according to Department/Faculty guidelines
in order to provide accurate information to parents in a variety of forms as and when necessary
Develop maintain and share materials and resources in order to achieve excellent learning outcomes
for all students
Provide students with regular high quality and insightful feedback which supports students to identify
their areas for development and make rapid progress
Make sure that the classroom is a stimulating environment that facilitates learning
Generate enthusiasm for the subject being taught and inspire all students to work to their potential
Liaise with the Head of Department/coordinator and appropriate staff where a student may have
special educational needs and with the tutor if a student is experiencing pastoral difficulties
Promote high standards of behaviour by encouraging a positive proactive approach to study and build

Set home learning according to policy and pertinent to the student s ability and wider workload
Provide high quality accurate constructive and targeted information to parents at Parents Evenings
in subject reports meetings and communications

Requirements
Education training and qualifications
Appropriate degree with UK PGCE or other teaching qualification giving QTS
Working knowledge of the National Curriculum of England including EYFS KS1 KS2 KS3 IGCSE/GCSE
and A Levels as appropriate
Experience of teaching relevant phases
Evidence of relevant and challenging continuing professional development
Knowledge and experience
Minimum two years teaching experience
Be aware and up to date in all relevant safeguarding polices and practice
Knowledge and experience of how to use of ICT effectively in promoting student learning
Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities
Previous experience or knowledge of working with students for whom English is not their first
language

Job Requirement for AP/IGCSE/AS subject Related Master s Degree or Bachelor s Degree with Teaching Certification. Preferably 3-5 years of teaching experience. Must be able to teach the subject at high school level. ESL or ESOL teacher training and/or experience is preferred. Teachers who are very comfortable with technology are preferred. Candidates must be able to successfully clear a criminal background check and provide official college degree. The candidate should agree on a two-month probation period.
