Job Description
Location: Lagos
Salary: 200k Net
Reports To: Production Manager & Skin Specialized Cosmetics Formulator
Supervises: Production Assistant & Attendants
Job Objective/Purpose of Job:
The Assistant Cosmetics Formulator will assist in the development formulation and testing of skincare products. They will play a vital role in supporting the creation of signature spagrade products and effective problemsolving products while ensuring all production processes are sanitary and efficient.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Formulation and Research Support:
- Assist in formulating and testing skincare products.
- Support the development of new products and improvements to existing products.
- Conduct research to ensure formulations are innovative and effective.
Production Support:
- Support the production of signature spagrade skincare products.
- Provide skin analysis and consultation services as required.
- Prepare regular reports on expenses and production budgets.
- Maintain and update company databases.
- Coordinate with production assistants and junior staff for efficient workflow.
- Assist in procurement of necessary ingredients and vendor management.
- Ensure sanitary manufacturing conditions to avoid contamination or mistakes.
- Participate in quality control during mass production.
- Perform any other productionrelated tasks as directed by the Production Manager.
Therapist Management:
- Assist in managing therapists and ensuring satisfaction in the workplace.
- Support learning and development initiatives for team members.

- Ensure proper budget management and cost control.

- Contribute to a diverse range of facial and skincare products made.
- Assist in creating successful sample products for clients.
Customer:
- Drive high customer satisfaction levels.
- Ensure therapist satisfaction in their roles.
Learning & Growth:
- Strengthen the capabilities of the team.
- Facilitate the learning and development of team members and therapists.
Education/Professional Qualifications:
- BA or BSc in Microbiology or a related field.
- Relevant postgraduate or professional qualifications are a plus.
- Any professional qualification is an advantage.
Experience :
- Minimum of 23 years of experience in a relevant role with solid knowledge of office procedures.
- Experience in producing skincare products for brands is required.
