Job Description

Job Description: Avantis Resources is seeking a midlevel Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Associate with 35 years of experience to join a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions private equity transactions and general corporate matters. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex transactions across various industries within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute M&A transactions including drafting and negotiating purchase agreements merger agreements and ancillary documents.
  • Conduct and oversee due diligence processes identifying potential risks and advising clients accordingly.
  • Advise clients on corporate governance compliance and general corporate matters.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including tax finance and regulatory specialists to ensure seamless transaction execution.
  • Stay current on evolving corporate laws and regulations to provide clients with uptodate advice.



Requirements


  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar (or eligibility for admission).
  • 35 years of relevant experience in corporate M&A preferably within a large law firm or reputable boutique firm.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Exceptional analytical research and writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Teamoriented with an emphasis on collaboration.
  • Effective and efficient problemsolving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively.
