Job Description
Embark on an exciting career as a Customer Support Representative in the fastpaced world of freight and logistics. In this role you ll be the vital link between our client s cuttingedge logistics services and their diverse customer base. You ll handle a variety of customer inquiries primarily through email and occasionally via phone ensuring that clients receive timely and accurate information about their shipments. Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of customer inquiries with approximately 70% coming through email and the remainder via phone
- Provide prompt accurate and friendly responses to customer questions regarding shipments tracking and logistics processes
- Collaborate closely with the dispatch team to resolve complex customer issues and ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions ensuring thorough documentation for future reference
- Assist with basic dispatching tasks as needed offering a wellrounded experience in logistics operations
- Proactively identify and escalate potential issues to prevent service disruptions
- Contribute ideas for improving customer service processes and enhancing overall customer satisfaction
- Stay updated on industry trends and company services to provide knowledgeable assistance to clients
Requirements
Ideally this person would have experience in trucking and logistics. Bonus points if this person has relevant knowledge in drayage warehousing and freight forwarding.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
- Previous experience in customer service preferably in the freight logistics or transportation industry
- Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
- Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to think on your feet and make sound decisions under pressure
- Exceptional multitasking abilities to manage multiple customer inquiries simultaneously
- Familiarity with logistics terminology and processes or a demonstrated aptitude for quickly learning industryspecific knowledge
- Ability to work fulltime during Pacific Time business hours
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all communications
- Adaptability to changing customer needs and evolving company processes
- Team player mentality with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments
- Bachelor s degree preferred but not required; relevant work experience may substitute for formal education
