Key Responsibilities:
Plan and design menus for all dining venues on board ensuring a variety of options that cater to different dietary needs and preferences
Oversee food purchasing inventory management and cost control to ensure budgetary goals are met
Train manage and motivate a team of chefs cooks and other kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and service
Monitor and maintain kitchen hygiene and sanitation standards following all health and safety regulations
Collaborate with other departments including food and beverage to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of dining services
Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate them into menu planning and food presentation
Conduct regular food tastings and provide feedback to chefs and kitchen staff for continuous improvement
Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and facilities
Handle any guest complaints or concerns related to food quality or service and take appropriate action to resolve them
Create and manage departmental budgets forecasting expenses and revenue to ensure profitability
Participate in regular meetings with senior management to discuss departmental performance and make recommendations for improvement
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a highend restaurant or luxury hotel
Culinary degree or equivalent training and experience in the culinary field
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques as well as current food trends
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fastpaced and highpressure environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
Proven track record of managing budgets and controlling costs
Ability to adapt to changing situations and make quick decisions
Fluent in English both written and verbal
Willingness to work long hours and weekends as needed
